Dr. Campbell is a founder, principle, and patent agent at Ameh IP.  He has over 20 years of experience in patent prosecution, patent and intellectual property development, litigation support, and licensing.  His practice focuses on client counseling, patent prosecution, supporting patent litigation, portfolio development, and due diligence.  He also counsels clients on intellectual property strategy, development, IP procurement, licensing, and asset management.  His general expertise encompasses all fields of electrical engineering, computer science, propulsion systems, aircraft, and devices.  Lowell has special expertise in electronics, wireless communications, and software.  He has prepared and prosecuted over 500 patents.  Lowell has a Ph.D. Electrical Engineering on RF and microelectronics design for manufacturability, an M.S. Computer Science on artificial intelligence systems on parallel computer architectures, and a B.S. Applied Mathematics on formal grammars and numerical computation.

He also has over 25 years of wireless communications, standard development, electrical engineering experience, and intellectual property rights (IPR) related work.  Prior to starting Ameh IP, he was a senior manager of advanced wireless technologies and IPR at wireless communications company, and worked with counsel from Denso, Morrison & Foerster and Fish & Richardson on corporate licensing, patent prosecution, patentability searches, and patent analysis for validity and infringement.  Among his technical accomplishments, he has developed and implemented baseband algorithms used in 1 million phones in Japan, chaired a standards group in the Bluetooth SIG, and developed bit-exact system models of CDMA architectures for WCDMA phones.  Lowell is registered to practice before the USPTO and Canadian Intellectual Property Office, and a member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  Lowell has nine personal inventions published and issued and has numerous publications and presentations.
